Barcelona's most famous landmark is Antoni Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece, I recommend taking the lift up for the views over Barcelona.

Another of Gaudí's famous buildings is this apartment block, with it's wild shapes, and mad rooftop terrace it's a great place to spend some time.

Cathedral The ride across the harbour is an excellent way to get a good view over the port, marina and the city.

Parc Güell

Out from the centre of town towards the leafy suburbs, Gaudí's Parc Güell sits on the top of it's hill.  Ensure you take the time to stroll around to seek out all of it's hidden delights.

The roof of this Gaudí house is supposed to be like the back of a dragon, St. George is the patron of Catalunya. 
This monastery, with it's excellent cloisters, is a welcome break from the noise of the modern city.

Placa Espanya At the Placa d'Espánya opposite the Bull Ring, walk past the imposing twin towers, and up the hill where you will find the Fountain, which dances to music in the evenings.

Wandering round this re-creation of different Spanish styles built as a village, is a good way to spend an afternoon.
